Perspective: The one word that might save Humanity
What, you say, how can that be?
Think about it… what we allow ourselves to see directly impacts our perception of it. The more we see the broader our perception the broader the range of solutions, paths and answers we see and understand. Perspective might be the only way we can escape this cultural insanity in which we are engaged.
“Doing the same thing again and again and expecting a different outcome is the very definition of insanity” ~AA
What are we really talking about here?
Gaining greater perspective might help us to see that there is a timeline greater than now that shows behavior trends that transcend centuries. This perspective might allow us to see the ways in which any movement toward a more human and equitable future is coopted and made meaningless leaving us enthralled to the cultural model that is (not so slowly) killing us. If nothing else it will make you aware of the continual degradation of our very existence.
“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step” ~Lao Tzu
If you make that single step of greater perspective it will make the journey smoother, and the pitfalls more obvious. If the journey is to a more human and equitable future, it can guide your steps toward other souls working on the same journey. Everyone knows that journeys taken together are better, in this case it is crucial. Community is not just nice to have it is critical to our humanity, so much so, that we are wired for it. Perspective will show that our very understanding of community and human relationship is one of the first things that was coopted by our “Taker”[1] culture!
Gaining perspective will change your perception of culture, politics, spirituality, human interaction, resources, and everything else, you just need to decide to and start the journey!
“The only thing to fear is fear itself” ~Franklin D. Roosevelt 1933

The Resilient Community Movement
In today's ever-changing world, the importance of fostering resilience within neighborhoods and communities cannot be overstated. By facilitating connections among residents, we empower individuals to share their stories and experiences, creating a strong support network. This collaborative spirit not only enhances the well-being of community members but also amplifies their voices, ensuring that their unique human needs are recognized and addressed.
