Resilient Ecosystem's vision of connected communities began with Mark, that said, he realized very early this effort needs to be bigger than him. It needs to be diverse and inclusive with a broad representation from across the county. In the long run, it needs to be a framework that can be adapted and adopted by any community.

Martitha is a champion for the immigrant community, underrepresented families and all people that need a voice. Through Mesa Redonda she has created a platform to advance the advocacy of those in need, and now she has brought this passion to Resilient Ecosystems and the Kitsap Resiliency Project. She also brings an important piece to the puzzle as the voice of the immigrant community. Diversity is the model for a healthy community, it is time we embrace this, and Martitha brings this home to Resilient Ecosystems!

Michael Achey
Board Member

Michael comes to the RESECO Board with a passion and drive for social justice, and a history of work with non-profits and groups dedicated to change. A recent father, Michael looks to the need to create a future for his daughter that looks nothing like the one she is facing today. In this he is a perfect fit on the BoD, because that is the same need and drive we all have. Michael is the Board Member to ask if RESECO and the Kitsap Resiliency Project has a focus on Affordable and Low Income Housing!

Advisory Board

The advisory board will be made up of people that are outside of the main project. It can even be broken into fields of interest. The idea is to spend a short time at meetings presenting a concept, a project area, or the plan, etc., then get feedback about what they heard and understood, to hear and integrate their thoughts and ideas. The more diverse the input the more robust the project, so the advisory board must be diverse and representative of Kitsap communities!

You?
How do you feel about the times we live in? About what the future holds for our children? Are you satisfied with how we care for each other? Do you crave connection, yet seem to be unable to connect? Do you fear your ability to overcome a crisis? Do you worry about shelter, food, water, the environment, employment, the people around you? Have you lost faith in our government in regards to fixing these problems? Are you willing to become part of something bigger to change these things?
